Fragmenting Education

Oh! What a noble vision they possess
A vision to provide education
And to accomplish this noble mission
They plan to introduce reservation!

On one hand they tart up to be egalitarian
On the other they come up with reservation
Compelling the youth to go on agitation!
But youth, that’s not the way to seek a solution

Your magnanimity is truly admirable!
How astutely you sow the seed of antagonism
In the name of education and secularism
Among the humans!

Your meretricious cause
Of realising the cherished dreams of the youth
To study in distinguished schools
Irrespective of the merit
Is heart warming!

Alas! This humble vision turned to be a malediction
Instead of a benediction
In the face of education
For nurturing the flower of discrimination!

The length of the journey traveled
In pursuit of holding the power
Is determined by the strength
Of sewing the country
Economically, socially and secularly
And not making reservation its ally!
