Capricious Time

Harsh winds blow across my face
Trees shed leaves
Yet I could feel
The gentle breeze of spring
And trees bejeweled with leaves
Amidst harsh winter

How capricious is time!
It has queer moments in store for us
At times sorrow and at times joy!!

Without slightest of warning
Softly time compels us to surrender
To its soundless thunder
Like the roar of a lion!

No sooner I changed side
Life took a topsy-turvy turn
Elevating me to a state
That sweet breathed
The serenity of spring
Even in winter!

How capricious is time!
It has queer moments in store for us
At times sorrow and at times joy!!
