A year is gone by
And life’s been blissful
Wonder!! How fortunate I’m
To have you as mine!!
There have been times
When waves of commotion surfaced
To cause upheaval in our lives
Perhaps!! To test our unity
As husband and wife!!
Together in absolute harmony
We wielded the difficult tides
Making it feel
As if we were
Boating in the serenity
Of backwaters!!
You are my companion
In truest sense
You chide me when wrong
And embrace me when right
Your divine and altruistic support
Is the rhythm of my life
For I dared to dream
Of realising my lofty goals
Riding on the confidence
Of your warmth and compassion!!
