What a pleasant morning it was!!
Yet my heart was gloomy
Instead of being chirpy

Religiously I lit the incense sticks
Yet found it’s usual aroma missing
My ears mourned the demise
Of the morning ragas

You are happy to be back
After a much needed hiatus
So am I!!
As I want you both
To enjoy this phase of togetherness
Rather than taking care of us
Though your departure
Has created an inestimable void
At home!!

Your presence exuded
The perfume of support and security
Perhaps! That’s the essence
Of ones parents compassion
To which I’m deeply indebted!!

I’m sure of my beloved husband
To view this approach
Of mine as veneer
To impress you both
But I wouldn’t delve into
The veracity of my emotions
For it’s beyond measure
And it’s my treasure!!
